🌴 Discover the Magic of the Riviera Maya with Wild Roots Worldschool!

Join us for a 5-day marine biology drop-off camp on the shores of Playa del Carmen. Kids will explore vibrant coral reefs, encounter incredible sea life, and learn the secrets of the ocean through hands-on activities, guided by our very own marine biologist.

From snorkeling with sea life to building sand sculptures and learning about conservation, campers will experience both fun and education woven together in a way that sparks curiosity and wonder.

🐠 Snorkeling experience is a plus—but don’t worry, we’ll teach beginners!

🌊 Swimming ability and comfort in the water is required for all participants.

Is this a drop-off program or for the whole family?

It’s actually a mix! The daily program during the week is drop off, however, if you would like to stick around the first few days to make your children feel more comfortable, we welcome that.  We have a family Meet & Greet the Sunday before camp, where we will play games and get to know each other.
In addition, we plan a family dinner during the week for the families to all share a meal and some laughs all together. Each week will feature different field trips, we encourage parents and siblings to join us during those outings (for an additional cost per person).

Investment

$500 per child

$50/sibling discount

🌟 What’s Included

Wild Roots is all about creating magical, nature-based learning experiences for kids. Your cost covers the base cost of all included activities, meals, and guided sessions — we keep it simple and transparent so families know exactly what they’re getting.

🦈 Engaging Marine Biology & Ecology Lessons

🏖️ Guided Snorkel & Beach Exploration

🎨 Creative Arts & Cultural Workshops

🌳 Outdoor Adventures & Exploration

🥗 Healthy Meals & Family Connection

🚫 What’s Not Included

We like to keep things transparent — here’s what families are responsible for outside of the program fee:

🚗 Transportation

Families arrange their own transportation to daily activities. Car rentals, taxis, or carpooling with other families are all options. (We’ll help connect families interested in ride-shares.)

🏡 Lodging

Accommodation is not included. However, we work with a trusted English-speaking real estate agent who can help you find family-friendly housing in Playa del Carmen that fits your needs and budget.

🩺 Travel Insurance & Medical Expenses

Families are responsible for their own travel insurance and any medical expenses. We recommend ensuring your coverage includes water activities.
✨ For questions, we can connect you with a local English-speaking travel insurance agent who specializes in helping expat families.

🚌 Optional Add-Ons

Any activities outside of the scheduled camp itinerary (such as extra excursions, family day trips, or extended stays) are not included in the program fee.

Our Families Say

ChatGPT Image Sep 17, 2025, 03_58_45 PM.png
"C was super happy about eating new to her fruit, she talked about it for several days. Also, she didn’t come home starving like most camps she’s been to. At your camp she said that she ate enough."

Danielle, Mom of C
