About Us
At Wild Roots Worldschool, we believe childhood is meant to be curious, connected, and full of wonder. Our mission is to create immersive, nature-rich experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, and a deep respect for the world around us.
Founded by Dasha Emelianova, a worldschooling mom and community-builder, Wild Roots brings together expert educators — including a marine biologist, professional artist, and movement teachers — to guide children through hands-on learning in the Riviera Maya’s most beautiful settings.
We intentionally limit enrollment to 12 children per camp, ensuring an intimate, supportive environment where every child feels seen. With a child-to-adult ratio of 4:1, we create a safe, nurturing space where kids can explore freely while being well cared for.

We believe the Riviera Maya — especially Playa del Carmen — is a rare and magical place to raise a family. As our community grows, so do the ways we support families. That’s why we created Wild Roots Families Abroad — a sister service dedicated to helping families confidently relocate to Mexico. From visas and schools to housing and healthcare, we make the transition smooth so you can focus on building a vibrant life abroad.
Safety and care are at the heart of everything we do. From water activities with life vests and buddy systems to clear community agreements through our Shared Expectations, you can trust that your child is in loving, capable hands.
